A five-day workshop on 3D Printing and Design was held in the Anna University Campus sponsored by AICTE Training & Learning (ATAL) Academy jointly with the Centre for Faculty Development and Department of Manufacturing Engineering, Anna University. The workshop was attended by 87 members which consisted of research scholars, engineering teachers and polytechnic faculty members. Mr. John Fredrick, HOD of SIGA Polytechnic College and Mr. Anto Franklin, 3D Center In charge. Mr. Fredrick quoted, “It was a wonderful opportunity offered by AICTE towards Industry 4.0. It helped the teaching faculty members to gain knowledge on the revolutionary upcoming changes in the field of Science and Engineering. It helped to gain immense information on Additive Manufacturing (AM)/Digital Marketing and 3D Printing and Design as well as different technologies in AM, materials/machines and optimization needed for Additive Manufacturing. SIGA Polytechnic College is already equipped with the 3D Center since 2018 and SIGA will foray in the field of 3D Printing and Design as well as Additive Manufacturing Technology.”
