“Life is unfair, but God is good,” these were the words quoted by Rev. Fr John Peter Soosaiprakasam, Parish Priest and Vicar Forane at St. Bernadette’s Church, Stockton, California, USA. Rev. Fr. John Christy, Rector, introduced him in the morning assembly on July 18, 2019, donned a shawl and presented a bouquet to honour him on behalf of the management, staff and students.
Rev. Fr John Peter while delivering the morning talk to the students of SIGA told that he was not born in the best of places and did his schooling with Tamil as the medium of education, but still by God’s grace now he is able to serve in an English-speaking community in the States only by the grace of God. He insisted that the students should identify their talents, nurture them and come up in life with success and that they are blessed to be a part of SIGA which is under the aegis of the Salesians. He assured that it does not matter where a person is born, but it is the talent which you are blessed with and hard work that you put on with perseverance that takes you to new heights of success with the grace of God.
