‘Bonsai Tree’, is the first piece of art crafted using the 3D printing technology in Don Bosco SIGA, Kilpauk campus, Chennai. The student artists Ashok Kumar and Sheikh Mohammed Fazil mentored by Mr.Johnson, the senior artist at Studio 99.5 used one kilogram of PLA filament of 1.75 mm diameter. The duos crafted for 45 hours to convert coil of the filament into a tree. The technical support came from the company the Next Generation 3D Printers Pvt. Ltd. To support the training programme the piece of art is open for a bidder.
