SIGA Polytechnic College Conducted the Workshop on Career Opportunity under the guidance of IIC. They organized a Problem Solving and Ideation workshop on 19th Nov 2022 at St. Zatti Hall. Mr. Antony Firmin Alexander was the resource person on the day. This event started with a felicitation ceremony. Rev. Fr. Sathish Paul welcomed the gathering and felicitated the resource person. 55 students from First Year Printing Technology and 3 faculties of the Printing department taken part in the program. The program was coordinated by Mr. Ragavanantham, Lecturer of Chemistry. Mr. Celastine, SIGA Polytechnic College.
Mr. Antony Started the sessions with a few questions to the students. They answered informatively that is related to the topic for the day. He gave a definition of Problem-solving and ideation that Finding a solution to a problem requires both the ability to explain it clearly and problem-solving skills. Ideation, in turn, is sometimes equated with creativity, the ability to generate fresh concepts and methods of operation, test those concepts, and subsequently find solutions to issues. He explained that there are four types of problems involving problem-solving analytics, creatives, practical, and theoretic. Each type has its own strengths and weaknesses when it comes to solving problems. He explained stages involving problem-solving, methods, and tools too. He listed the things about ideation and its techniques. There are ten techniques Brainstorming, worst idea, storyboarding, mind mapping, brainwriting, questioning assumption, sketching, Analogist, scamper, and body storm with proper examples. He had an interaction with students on various problems and how it to be sorted out by them. He conducted a group discussion on different topics with a different group of students. Mr. Antony displayed the interactive session on Problem Solving and Ideation during this workshop.
