In a fitting tribute to Johann Gutenberg, his contribution to its growth marking the Printers’ Day on 24th February of every year. Students of SIGA Polytechnic college decorated their classrooms with drawings and art and crafts with his pictures. They fixed some images about printing machines and process of printing and the history of printing technology which they are learning. The students are encouraged to show their skills in printing, so the management conducted various competitions like designing, off-set printing, binding, and drawing.
First, the students from their respective classes shared their ideas, and thoughts about Printers Day. They explained about the father of Printing, importance printing around the globe. They briefed about that why they had chosen this printing technology course.
The students designed beautiful posters in designing competition, and in Art competition students draw lively pictures. Some students from GDC II printed an exam paper in off-set machine, and other students bound the books for their personal work. Eventually, students took the visit to SIGA press.
The winners of the various competitions were awarded prices and certificates.
