Greetings from Fr. Principal, Delegate of SIGA Unit.

On 17 Feb, 2013 the Alumni gathered at SIGA campus to nominate the new Council members for 2013 as the tenure of President, Mr.Vedanayagam came to a close. During the meeting, the names of candidates from each batch were pooled together as the first step towards establishing the new council. Most of them accepted to be the coordinators (liaison officer) between their batch mates and the institute. From these the eligible and willing members will be nominated as the executive member, treasurer, secretary and president of the Alumni Unit.

The day was animated by Mr.Satish, the Secretary - DB Alumni Association Chennai.Mr.Manoj represented Mr.Vedanayagam and received the DB Crystal Memento as a token of appreciation for his committed ministry in the past 8 years.Mr.Joe represented the Senior Members and shared good memories down the lane during the function. Present students were also present for the function.Outgoing Secretary, Mr.Benny led the assembly in prayer.

Milestones: It was during Mr. Veda’s tenure; the members of batch 1982-85 came forward to celebrate their silver jubilee at SIGA and donated the benches and desks for the class rooms. Annual visit to old aged homes and shishu bhavans during Christmas season were conducted regularly. Visit of Don Boscos relic to SIGA was another important event to remember fondly.
